MARKETING STRATEGIES
Why does YOUR business require a
MARKETING STRATEGY?
- To identify your target markets.
- To plan how you will communicate to your customers any relevant product information.
- To examine your Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats and analyse the results for areas of action, improvement and/or opportunity. This is called a SWOT Analysis and is a powerful self examination management tool for your business.
- To examine carefully all forms of advertising media and ensure you receive the ‘Biggest Bang for your Buck’ wherever possible.
- To establish your product branding strategy and corporate graphics/logo images.
- To formulate a policy on public relations, sponsorships, donations, etc.
- To implement some form of response from customers and suppliers whereby a benchmark can be established to gauge the performance of your marketing strategy.
How do we go about developing your
MARKETING STRATEGY?
- Initially there needs to be an exchange of information about your products and your company or business entity.
- We would then request you carry out a SWOT Analysis of your business either individually or with our assistance. We will assist you with an easy to follow form. If there are multiple owners/partners then each would complete their own SWOT Analysis form dependent of other owners/partners. In this manner we can collate the results and analyse what differences are apparent in the way the owners/partners view your business.
- In the mean time we would carry out a market survey on your products to determine
- What market segment they are servicing – high end, low end, specialist product, etc.?
- What quality constraints and/or price barriers are perceived by the consumer?
- What comparative competitors are presenting in similar product ranges?
- Are there any other considerations such as Quarantine & Customs regulations to be met, prohibited or dangerous goods restraints, censorship issues, dependence on another service, controls in wholesale to retail, etc.?
- We would analyse the current packaging, merchandising, POS material, and any other marketing initiatives undertaken or currently in the market place of your products.
- Bringing all this information together we could have discussions on the best options available relative to the marketing of your product.
- A Marketing Strategy would then be formulated and implemented.
- As part of the whole process recommendations would be made as to how you might monitor your Marketing Strategy and undertake regular reviews.
